Reflecting on this unprecedented year - with gratefulness
When I was growing up, my father saved the front pages of the newspapers and magazines cataloging some of history’s more pivotal moments. Going through them, you would see the headlines to nearly every presidential election, various local interests and curiosities, and accounts of racial divides, to name a few. As a kid, one of my favorites was the 1969 Time Magazine declaring humankind’s arrival on the moon.
I kind of wish I kept that habit up and continued the tradition of collecting these front page stories. If I had, this past years’ worth of news headlines would take up a lot of space in that closet of keepsakes! It’s been a stressful and exhausting year on so many levels.
As we launch this new newsletter project, I want to take the opportunity to express my deep appreciation to our past, current, and hopefully some future clients for your support this year and all the 16 years since I started Clar Construction in 2004. It’s been a great ride so far, and though the first two quarters of 2020 were hard on us, we are pleased to wrap up the year strong and equally strong as we head into 2021.
